Vybz Kartel delivered a new single, “Cute Rider (Reggaeton Mix),” off his upcoming album, Of Dons & Divas.
With less than a week before the release of Of Dons & Divas Vybz Kartel is once again whetting the appetites of his fans with a brand new release. Over the last couple of weeks, Vybz Kartel has shown fans that he can maneuver his way on any beat. Therefore, fans should not be surprised if they are taken on a musical world tour on his upcoming project. Sitting on a bouncy Reggaeton drumbeat and paired with an artistically colorful video, “Cute Rider” captures the epitome of the Caribbean and Jamaican music.
The video release titles the track as the Reggaeton Mix, which has since raised questions surrounding if the album will provide a different version. Some fans are hoping not since the recently released version possesses that international feel could see it becoming one of the top songs in Vybz Kartel’s push to secure that coveted Grammy nob.
While the song readily evokes that feel-good effect, at its core is a message of appreciation from Vybz Kartel, who expresses that he will do anything for his lady love. The song’s production is handled by JonFX of the FX Music Group, who has also worked with the likes of XXXTentacion and Akon. Meanwhile, Kartel has called on his goto team at Warrior Films to bring the summer anthem to life. It would not make much sense to release a Reggaeton inspired video without a crop of high energy dancers, therefore, the crew drafted for a multitude of bodies who go about performing various stunts throughout the streets of Jamaica.
