Jacquees says he was not monetizing his remix of Ella Mai’s hit single “Trip.”
DJ Mustard accused R&B singer Jacquees of stealing and monetizing Ella Mai’s song “Trip.” The singer was forced to remove his version from YouTube and SoundCloud because it was outshining the original. Mai came under fire on social media after news broke that Jacquees was forced to remove the song. DJ Mustard quickly responded saying that his label 10 Summers was the one that did the deed and Ella had nothing or no say in what transpired.
T-Pain was also tossed into the mix because he too recorded a remix, but the only difference is he said that he never tried to make money from it. Jacquees has since responded saying that he wasn’t making any money from the remix.
“Ni**a no I didn’t lol hell you talm bout my brother I put it on SoundCloud and YouTube you know my game ain’t cap I love Ella,” he tweeted while adding he still got nothing but love for Ella Mai.
At the end of the day what’s for me will be for me…
