Rick Ross new album Rather You Than Me debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart this week after selling 106,000 equivalent album units in the first week.
While this is not Rozay’s biggest opening week, this number should give him comfort being that it came in higher than previous predictions. 70,000 units were from traditional album sales. In comparison, his 2014 album Mastermind sold 179,000 units in the first week of release. Drake’s blockbuster new album More Life debut at No. 1 with 505,000 units sold, while Ed Sheeran’s Divide slips to No. 2 with 119,000 units sold.
But numbers aside, Rick Ross has been getting rave reviews for the project among hip hop fans and critics alike. The Maybach Music Group rapper is already working on his next project which will be his 10th studio album titled Port of Miami. That project will be released sometime this year.
