Mad Cobra released a rumored Vybz Kartel diss track “Fi Dem Head” and already Gaza fans are on the attack.
The Armzhouse Records-produced single was uploaded to YouTube on Monday and branded as a diss track aimed at the Gaza Boss. Urban Islandz contacted a rep for Mad Cobra who could not confirmed the song as a diss. “I don’t know if this is a diss song, every hardcore song from artists these days are diss so for all I know this could be just a song,” sources told us.
Mad Cobra is notorious for taking on any artist in dancehall with hard hitting tracks. But taking on one of the top man in dancehall Vybz Kartel will prove to be a tall fete for the dancehall veteran. Some fans of the incarcerated dancehall star are calling out Cobra saying this is an attempt to revive his dying career.
During a 2014 interview, Mad Cobra was very vocal about dancehall being in jail mostly because of Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton incarceration. “When I say that dancehall is behind bars I said it metaphorically,” Cobra said. “Because Buju is behind bars also and he is a part of dancehall. Kartel is behind bars and he is a part of dancehall. Both artistes play a big role in dancehall.”
