Vybz Kartel continue to be a pivotal part of dancehall music from behind bars.
Last year we saw the incarcerated dancehall dropping a ton of new music, prompting speculations that he has been recording from behind bars.
The former Portmore Empire boss also released an album last year VIKING (Vybz Is King). Sources inside Kartel’s camp told us that the followup project to VIKING is already in the works and will comprise of bolt new and previously recorded unreleased singles.
“The thing with Vybz Kartel fans is they are always hungry for new music, they are always looking for what he is coming out with next even when he is not physically present in the mix,” sources told us.
“This new project will feature some previously recorded unreleased material and some songs that are already hot on the airwaves,” sources added.
His people also told Urban Islandz that there will be a big unlikely collaboration on the new album, but declined to name the artist.
The big question now is will we see a Vybz Kartel and a Bounty Killer or Beenie Man collaboration in 2016. Last year we saw one with Mavado.
