VIDEO: Teenage Usain Bolt Long Before World Records And Gold Medals

Usain Bolt story is not just an inspiration to Jamaicans but also people all over the world.

The video below features the Jamaican sprint legend back in 2003 when he was just a teenage runner.

“I am really proud of myself for doing so well and making Jamaica proud and I know my Jamaican fans will always be behind me one hundred percent,” young Usain Bolt said.

In 2002 Bolt became the youngest world junior athlete ever to win gold at the World Junior Championship.

Although he was plague by injuries and lack of discipline in his early athletic years, Usain Bolt went on to be the greatest athlete the world has ever seen.

In 2009 Usain Bolt broke his own world record of 9.69 to set a new record of 9.58 at the World Championship.

Usain Bolt is also the first man to win gold medals in both the 100 and 200 meter sprint in consecutive Olympics in 2008 Beijing and 2012 London.

The sprinter, nickname Lightening Bolt, has also received the Order of Jamaica and the Order of Distinction.

At age 26, Usain Bolt is a legend.
