DETAILS: Zimbabwe President Mugabe: “Jamaicans Are Drunks, Weed Heads” Reggae Artists Reacts
Last week President Mugabe angered Jamaicans all over the world when he made some damning statements that Jamaican nationals are “drunks” and “weed smokers.”
“In Jamaica, they have freedom to smoke (men are always drunk) and universities are full of women. The men want to sing and do not go to colleges and are ruled by women,” Mugabe said.
While most reggae artists were outraged about Mugabe’s remarks, the “Dry Cry” singer struck a more diplomatic cord.
