Nicki Minaj has seemingly shared some words for Safaree Samuels’ embattled ex-wife Erica Mena following the release of disturbing surveillance footage.
Urban Islandz reported on Thursday that Safaree went to court to have his child support payments to Erica Mena reduced, citing multiple reasons including that his income has significantly declined since the agreement was put in place. The Love and Hip Hop star also shared a lengthy video on his YouTube channel showing Mena attacking him and trashing his house in front of their children.
Erica Mena has been getting backlash from fans over the video with some folks calling her out for painting a picture of Safaree being a deadbeat dad. Not only is he saying that he is far from a deadbeat father, but he also shared footage of his children’s rooms at his house. The reality star says he has decided to take a stand and that’s why he released the videos to defend himself from her allegations.
“I have to put myself first,” he said in the lengthy video message.
Nicki Minaj, who dated Safaree for 12 years before their split in 2014, has seemingly reacted to the drama between them. In an Instagram Live session last night, the “Barbie World” rapper says, “I don’t know who needed to hear this, but good for you.” Fans quickly theorized that she was seemingly shading Erica Mena since she went Live right after the clips Safaree released went viral.
“You see, sometimes you need to leave people dem alone,” Nicki added using Jamaican patois. “When a queen is minding her business. And stop f—ng lying on who don’t go out your way and start harassing people who never said anything about you or to you.”
Nicki continues, “Be careful what you ask for. Be careful what you beg for. Be careful what you want to disrespect other people for having. Hunty I said, I don’t know who needs to hear it, but good for you.”
Erica Mena previously criticized Safaree for admitting in an interview that his breakup with Nicki Minaj was one of the hardest things he has ever gone through. She slammed him as a bad father for not mentioning his children in the interview and not talking about them the same way he dolled over Nicki.
In the meantime, Mena has responded to Safaree’s videos by threatening to release Ring doorbell camera footage she has of him asking her to let him in her home and asking her to take him back. She hasn’t done that yet.
