Rihanna continues to tease her new album.
The Bajan pop beauty shared a behind the scenes video clip of herself from inside her studio early Saturday morning, and it’s hyping up her fans. “Behind the scenes of ‘where’s the album?” she wrote. She shared the timestamp showing 5:40 a.m. wherever she was. Rihanna is now living in London, which means that she was hitting the studio in the early morning in the UK.
Urban Islandz reported this weekend that Jamaica reggae/dancehall sensation Koffee is writing songs for Rihanna’s new album. California-based rapper Haiti Babii recently spilled the beans in an interview with BET where he revealed that RiRi encouraged him to link with Koffee for some new music. At 19-year-old, the reggae singer has already topped the Billboard chart and earned herself a lot of co-signs from the likes of Chronixx, Protoje, Rihanna, and Lil Uzi Vert.
Sources told us that Rihanna’s oft-delayed dancehall album R9 is close to being complete. The Roc Nation singer employed the services of several Jamaican producers and songwriters to help put the project together. She has yet to announce a title or release date for the album, but she previously stated the R9 is burnt into her brain by her fans so she might’ve just us that title.
“So far it’s just been R9, thanks to the Navy,” she told T magazine. “I’m about to call it that probably, ’cause they have haunted me with this ‘R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?’ How will I accept another name after that’s been burned into my skull?”
