Vybz Kartel is not a fan of Shenseea right now. The incarcerated deejay released a solo version of the smash hit single “Loodi” and revealed that the track was never a collaboration in the first place.
For months now, some Gazanation fans have been complaining that Shenseea is not giving Vybz Kartel enough props for single handedly launching her dancehall career. “My song was never a collaboration!” Kartel wrote on his Vevo channel on YouTube. Sources inside the Gaza confirmed with Dancehall Hip Hop that Vybz Kartel feels like he never get enough credit for the massive success of the single and feels like he wasn’t properly compensated.
“Addi (Vybz Kartel) literally launched her career with that song and still no respect coming from her camp,” sources said. “The level of ungratefulness is hard to ignore and it’s not like we were paid enough to give her this shine in the first place.” When asked if Vybz Kartel wrote the entire song, our source told us one hundred percent of it was written by the dancehall icon.

“I thought I brought something different to ‘Loodi,'” Shenseea said during an interview. “Everybody out there that didn’t see me before was wondering who is this girl? Is this a new Gaza girl or something? How she look so. From you do a song with Kartel everyone rank you as a Gaza, but really and truly I do represent Romeich Entertainment.”
The original version of “Loodi” is still on Shenseea’s Vevo page so it’s still unclear if that version will still be marketed or what direction this feud between both sides will take. Nevertheless, “Loodi” was one of the hottest songs last year and since the start of the year. The So Unique-produced single has since received over 10 million views on YouTube since November.
