Rihanna new album ANTI is already platinum after achieving 1 million downloads in 14 hours after its release.
As part of her promotional deal with Samsung worth a reported $25 million, Rihanna gave away download codes to her fans who quickly gobbled up the album in 14 hours TIDAL clocked in at a million downloads. In case you were not one of the lucky folks to get a copy, you can still purchase the album for a cool $9.99 on iTunes or simply just stream it on TIDAL which is the only major music streaming service to distribute the album.
“You guys legit made me the happiest girl in the world!! I’m so grateful that you appreciate the #ANTI album! It’s the most rewarding feeling,” Rihanna tweeted.

The RIAA has also issued a statement certifying ANTI platinum.

There is also a deluxe version for ANTI now available for purchase on iTunes with three new tracks.
Since Wednesday the hashtags #Rihanna and #ANTI have been trending on Twitter and Facebook signalling the popularity of the Bajan pop princess among pop music fans.
Her fans were growing restless with her album oft-delayed for over a year with no release date in sight.
Her new single with Drake “Work” quickly climbed the charts to No. 1 in over 90 countries and has been gaining traction on major radio stations.
