Young Thug is now referring to Lil Wayne as his family and is insisting that there is no beef between the two of them.
The Atlanta rapper has been under scrutiny from both law enforcement and hip hop fans regarding the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting in April of this year. The main suspect in the attempted murder case has finger point Young Thug and Birdman among persons behind a conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne.

Thugger is making it clear that his hands are clean and he has nothing to do with the shooting.
“I got millions to get, I’m not running around shooting no damn bus,” the controversial rapper told the New York Times.
Young Thug also said that Weezy is his idol and that they are from the same label so there is no reasons to beef with the Young Money rapper.
“I told the whole world you my idol, and whenever you stop I’m gonna keep going… Both of us grew up the same thing, the same gang man — Y.M.C.M.B. Why should you ever in your life even feel like we against each other?” the “Best Friend” rapper said.

Despite insisting that there is no beef between the two, Young Thug dropped an album in April called Barter 6 where he dropped several disses aimed at Lil Wayne. The project was basically a gimmick to Weezy’s yet to be released album Tha Carter V.
The feud all started when Lil Wayne fallout with Cash Money head and his former close friend Brian ‘Birdman’ Williams. The “CoCo” rapper went on a public Twitter rant telling his fans that Birdman and the label is holding him hostage and is refusing to release his long awaited album.
Young Thug and Birdman are close friends and that’s how he got involved in the feud.
