Jim Jones has stepped forward to address rumors he recently proposed to a mystery woman.
On the heels of Jim Jones and Chrissy Lampkin’s rumored split, the New York rapper has been rumored to have proposed to another woman. The rumors started in September after Lampkin made a cryptic post on Instagram Story that her followers interpreted as a jab at Jim Jones. “You and I both know will never find someone like me. Good luck trying though. I’ll have you replaced by tomorrow,” she wrote.
“Jim Jones married another woman,” one user on X wrote on Friday (November 8). “Chrissy went through all of that. A man knows who he wants to be with from the start. It was never going to be her. Y’all keep saying marriage doesn’t mean anything, but he just met someone and married her. Chrissy waited 20 years.”
The Dipset rapper was hit with rumors of his engagement this week, which he seemingly responded to. Jim Jones posted a video of himself with a bottle of water in reaction to the chatter around his relationship status. “The world needs more water,” he wrote. Interestingly, Chrissy Lampkin could be heard in the background saying, “Just drinking my water and minding my business,” to which Jones responded, saying, “that’s all we doing.”
Not only is Jim Jones appearing to dismiss the rumors, it seems he and Chrissy Lampkin are still going strong despite reports of their split. Their innocent and playful interaction might’ve just put the rumors to bed. On the other hand, the identity of the woman Jones allegedly proposed to.
The couple, who have been dating for decades, are getting support from fans who credit the Love and Hip Hip alums for still being together. One fan wrote, “I love Chrissy and Jimmy! Who cares if they aren’t married. Married folks out here getting cheated on, taking care of side babies and everything else. I say let them be.” Another fan added, “He’s never leaving Chrissy. He loves her. They love each other and it’s not for us to understand there relationship. They are probably more happy then most married couples.”
