Chad Johnson shares his feelings about Sharelle Rosado after she claimed that they had broken up.
The former wide receiver has had an illustrious NFL career on the field, but his life off the field also takes center stage more often than not. Although he is now retired from playing ball, Chad Johnson is still very much active in the sporting arena as a commentator and now co-host of the Nightcap show with former NFL star Shannon Sharpe.
Ever so often, Johnson’s personal life overshadowed his work after having several very public relationships, including one with Evelyn Lozada and K. Michelle. The baller is now dating Sharelle Rosado, or was dating, according to her most recent post about the status of their relationship.
Things appear to grow sour for the couple after Johnson posted a photo of himself and TV sports anchor Taylor Rooks. While the image seemed innocent, some fans pointed out that the two looked cozy together, prompting the Selling Tampa cast to respond.
“Chad and I are no longer together please stop tagging us. He is a free man ladies,” Rosado wrote in response to some fans questioning their relationship status. She also appears to have deleted all traces of him from her Instagram account, leaving little room for further speculation. She also responded to a female fan who wrote, “Thanks sis I will kindly slide in his DMs” telling her “Lol hope you don’t catch nothing sis.”
Chad Johnson appears to be taking the fiasco on his chin and is holding out hopes to win back his girlfriend. After posting a GIF in reaction to her initial comment, the retired NFL star posted a message for Rosado on his Instagram Story. “SMR [padlock emoji],” he wrote. SMR is Rosado’s initials and the padlock means that they’re locked in. Rosada has not yet responded to his comment.
In the meantime, fans have been reacting to their split, and here are some of the reactions. “This is actually kind of disappointing. I liked you two together and usually I don’t care,” one woman wrote. “Oh no! Im so sorry to hear this. I loved you guys together! Praying for your strength! I know breakups can be terrible!” another wrote.
