R. Kelly still has defenders out there.
The controversial King of R&B, R. Kelly, lost his crown in the early 2000s when he was charged with child pornography following the emergence of a disturbing video involving him and an underage girl. That has escalated over the last 17 years to claims of sexually abusing minors and even a sex cult, with alleged victims coming forward. One of those victims is Joycelyn Savage, who was a live-in girlfriend of the “Sign of a Victory” singer, along with several others.
Savage had previously supported Kelly — even defending him in an interview and in court — but a few days ago, she changed her tune, making claims against the imprisoned artist that are so disturbing that we needed something a little stronger than tea to read them.
Joycelyn Savage claims that she broke the NDA she had been made to sign by revealing that Kelly had forced her to undergo two abortions, consume his bodily fluids, and even denied her sanitary pads while menstruating. This, of course, echoes previous allegations made during the Surviving R. Kelly documentary, which states that the 52-year-old had starved the women in his home and made them perform sexual acts.
But, if you believed that everyone was against Kelly and all for having the truth outed, we’re here to prove you wrong.
Then came R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend, Halle Calhoun. The pair were together for almost two years, with Calhoun also serving as one of the singer’s live-in girlfriends when she was around 19- or 20-years-old. She claims that she decided to leave the relationship following a violent altercation sparked by a jealous rage.
Now, Calhoun has turned on her fellow “sister-wife” (or whatever you call sex cult members), directing her Instagram post at Savage.
“The things people do for money is just sad. I don’t have sympathy… YOU HAD A CHOICE!!! Smh I just want the world to be smart at this point come onnnnnnnn. Goofy af!” she wrote.
Until recently, Savage had also supported Kelly, with the musician’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, stating, “It is unfortunate that Jocelyn now seeks to make money by exploiting her long time, loving relationship with Robert. Obviously, if she were to tell the truth no one would pay so she has, unfortunately, chosen to regurgitate the stories and lies told by others for her own personal profit. We know the real facts, and it was not until the money ran out that she decided anything was wrong. Hopefully people will see it for the obvious profiteering it is.”
