Young Thug is back behind bars over a failed drug test.
The Atlanta rapper, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, is currently locked inside a DeKalb County in Georgia following a failed drug test at his scheduled arraignment on Thursday (November 8), Pitchfork reported. Young Thug was on bail for his ongoing gun and drug case which stemmed from his arrest in September 2017. In September of this year, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and a few days later he turned himself in to police.
Young Thug was given bond on September 13th, but his bail is now revoked as a result of his failed drug test. Following his arrest last year, Thugger was slapped with eight felony charges including possession of a firearm, marijuana, methamphetamine, codeine, hydrocodone, xanax, and amphetamine.
Thug’s record label signee Gunna was also with the rapper last year when he was arrested in an upscale area of Atlanta. Gunna is facing charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and dark window tint. The window tinting issue is the reason why they were pulled over in the first place.
Young Thug is currently working on his new album Barter 7, which has been in the works since Lil Wayne released Tha Carter V last month.
