Queen Ifrica wants an apology from Vybz Kartel who accused her of bleaching her skin.
Reggae/dancehall veteran Queen Ifrica is pushing back against accusations that she bleached her skin. The rumors reignited when Spice came out with her new single “Black Hypocrisy” where she addressed the touchy issue of colorism within the black community. In a video clip posted on the Gram yesterday, the “Times Like These” singer says that she wants folks to leave her out of the colorism argument and then demanded an apology from Vybz Kartel for previously stating that she did skin bleaching.
“When you see me then you know say am in a mood don’t,” she quips. “Me want to tell some people to leave me out of them blood**** colorism argument hear that. Because me a go through my own colorism over here too because some people don’t want to accept that I am brown. So they want to come and mix me up in some bleaching argument and them things so Vybz Kartel you need to put out the apology to the world and tell the people them say you’re sorry to talk say the Queen bleach.”
Queen Ifrica added that since Vybz Kartel came out saying that she bleached her skin, everyone has been running with it. “From you talk say the Queen bleach a bare people a say it inno dog,” she continues. “So we a say we black and we proud, we half black.”
The big question now is will Vybz Kartel apologize to her or will this ignite a feud?
