Cardi B and Kehlani drop the video for their collab “Ring.”
Cardi B is slated to open the 2018 MTV VMAs tonight, and this is the perfect way to build the anticipation with the release of a new music video. The Invasion of Privacy rapper has been enjoying her downtime as she took some time off from working to raise her daughter Kulture. She will be the opening act on the Video Music Awards on Monday night which will be her first live show since giving birth in June.
While we wait to see her in action, Cardi B comes through with her Mike Ho-directed visuals for “Ring” featuring R&B singer Kehlani. The video was shot when the rapper was five months deep into her pregnancy. “Cause right now I’m out here tryna find someone / The ring on my phone, ring on my finger (brrr) / You actin’ like you ain’t tryna do either (yeah) / Once a good girl, watch me turn diva / Here goes my heart, I put it on speaker (oh),” Cardi raps while Kehlani takes care of the hook.
Cardi B leads the MTV Video Music Awards with ten nominations including some major categories like Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year.
