Rihanna will be having us jamming to the sound of reggae music this year.
The pop star has confirmed that her next album will be an all reggae music album and now all her Caribbean fans are excited about it. Rihanna’s last album ANTI was released at the top of 2016 so her fans are now hungry for some new music. Hopefully the Navy won’t have to wait too long to get this new album. Rihanna confirmed that she is working on a full reggae LP in her interview with Vogue.
Rihanna says she is working with famed Jamaican-born producer Supa Dups who produced a lot of songs for the likes of Beenie Man, Elephant Man, and Sean Paul. Of course we all know that Bob Marley is RiRi’s all-time favorite artists, but here is something new. Her favorite Bob Marley songs are “Three Little Birds,” “No Woman, No Cry,” and “Redemption Song.”
Rihanna didn’t reveal anymore details about the album but last year Urban Islandz reported that she registered a song with incarcerated reggae singer Buju Banton titled “Phatty.” There is also a rumored collaboration coming with another one of her favorite reggae stars, Sizzla.
