Offset picked up his first platinum solo single after “Ric Flair Drip” clocks a million unit in sales.
The Migos clan has seen tremendous success as a group, but each of the three has all seen their own individual successes as well. Takeoff was the first Migos member to get a gold-certified single and Quavo already have his own platinum records, as well as, being a guest feature on a number of platinum tracks. It’s now Offset’s turn to get his own platinum plaque, after all his girlfriend Cardi B already has her own platinum single.
“Ric Flair Drip” is featured on Metro Boomin and 21 Savage‘s collaborative album Without Warning released last year. The success of the project helped push the single over the 1 million mark in sales last week.

Migos dropped their Culture II album last month and we just learned that the project is poised to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with a projected 200,000 album units in the first week. The RIAA has not officially made the announcement, but Offset spill the tea on social media over the weekend. “Lol….. Offset spilled the beans but yeah Ric Flair Drip went platinum,” Rashad tweeted.
This is yet another W for the Migos clan who has been criticized for being just a bunch of flashy rappers who love to use ad libs in songs. The group has been steadily moving beyond that stigma and has been growing into their own as a group and with their solo careers with the release each project. Offset made headlines last month for allegedly cheating on his fiance Cardi B. Turns out that hackers got a hold of contents in his iCloud and leaked them out. Listen to “Ric Flair Drip” below.
