Mariah Carey has once again shaken up her love life by dumping her dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka and in the same breath announcing a new album.
Not only did the pop legend did both of the above, but she also launched a new record label that will house her new album. TMZ was one of several media outlets who broke the story on Monday that Mariah Carey has called it quits with Tanaka, who was one of her dancers before they became romantically involved. The main cause of their breakup reportedly has to do with Tanaka being jealous of Mariah’s close relationship with her baby daddy Nick Cannon.
Sources say he would get upset when she take vacation trips with Cannon and their twins. There are also allegations that he was using her for fame and that she thinks his taste was just too expensive. Aside from having relationship problems, Mariah Carey has her fans excited right now by announcing that she is coming back to the music scene with a new album. She teamed up with Epic Records to form her own label, Butterfly MC. “I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music,” Mariah said. “I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”
There is no official release date for the album, but all signs are pointing to a late 2017 release date. This could mean that she will butt heads with Nicki Minaj who is also getting ready to drop her new album later this year. We all know that these two divas have a heated feud stemming back from 2014 when they were judges on American Idol. Mariah also recently enlist Nicki’s arch rival Remy Ma for the remix of her new single with YG “I Don’t.” The move triggered rumors that Mariah and Remy Ma could be teaming up for a new Nicki Minaj diss track.
