Dancehall legend Beenie Man and Christopher Martin’s collaborative single “Me and You” is now available for streaming on iTunes. The Doc also premiered the music video for the track on Tuesday.
The track is featured on the dancehall icon’s new album Unstoppable, released on September 16 last year, but is now available as a single in time for Valentine’s Day. “The message speaks to the strength of love. We wanted to target couples who are going through rough patches and give them some hope,” Beenie Man said. “Remind them that true love withstands adversity no matter the complexion.”
The dancehall love ballad “Me and You” was produced by Mario C of 357 Records. Mario C and Beenie Man have worked together several times in the past. The track is also one of Beenie’s favorites on the 22-track project. This marks the first collaboration between Beenie Man and Christopher Martin and after hearing this gem you have to wonder why this collab didn’t happened before now.
