Chris Brown Talks Rihanna Assault Aftermath “I Wanted To Commit Suicide”

Chris Brown is currently prepping his fans for his upcoming documentary “Welcome To My Life: The Official Chris Brown Documentary.” The R&B singer gave is a glimpse of what to come in a nearly 3 minutes long preview and it seems like nothing is off topic including the Rihanna assault incident that almost ended his career.

It was the night before the Grammy Awards in 2009 that news broke that Chris Brown viciously assaulted Rihanna and could be sent to prison. The Grammys banned both artists from the ceremony that year that they were also scheduled to performed.

“This is the first time I get to say anything,” Chris Brown said in the trailer for his upcoming documentary.

Brown also revealed that he almost committed suicide over the incident.

“I felt like a f***ing monster,” he added. “I was thinking about suicide, I wasn’t sleeping, I barely ate.”

The “New Flames” singer also made it clear that he knew his career wasn’t over and that he would return.

“If there was ever a doubt in your mind Chris Brown was done, he was finished… I wouldn’t bet on it.”

Rihanna and Chris Brown has rekindled their relationship a few times since the incident but ultimately decided to go their separate ways.

The two have also collaborated with each other a few times since the infamous assault that left Rihanna face battered and bruise. Chris Brown quickly left from being one of the most beloved stars in the world to being public enemy number one. He was sentenced to five years probation and did a stint in jail for violating the terms of his probation. Brown was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder and sent to rehab.

It is not clear if Rihanna will make an appearance in the documentary.
