Teyana Taylor and her fiance Iman Shumpert released their new music video “Promised” a dedication to the people they love.
Taylor is currently pregnant for the couple’s first child and are expected to walk down the isle sometime soon.
“The song is about keeping my promise to people that I love and all the stuff I ever said I was gonna do,” Iman Shumpert told RollingOut. “I wrote this song about a year-and-a-half ago. Teyana didn’t add her part until right before the playoffs last year. With everything that was going on it just started to line up in my mind, I kind of envisioned what was happening and timed it up accordingly.”
The video clip was directed by Sasha Samsanova and saw Teyana Taylor showing off her baby bump while Shumpert rap his lines in the dark backdrop.
