Dancer/Deejay Ding Dong currently has one of the hottest dances in dancehall, the Syvah.
Since 2013, Syvah has injected new life into the Jamaican dancehall scene. But Ding Dong is saying that he got the idea for the name from incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel.

“Like when we are in a party, Bravo and I would say we sieving for the hottest girl, pencil it’s the hottest girl we a sieve for, we say Deli sieve your pocket and let us buy some liquor… So we use sieve in those little words but then I said sieve is too short it didn’t have a roll,” Ding Dong said.
“So I heard Kartel did a song where he said ‘yow syvah, buck a gal from U-Tech, She a study business’ and I said that is the word that we are looking for,” the dancer said.
