Shane Williams, who was arrested three weeks ago in a massive police opperation involving stance kingpin Vybz Kartel, was fined JM$100 for illegal possession of Marijuana.
Williams pleaded guilty to possession of ganja when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning.
Williams was one of three persons taken into custody along with Vybz Kartel on September 30th. The three men was charged with possession of Ganja.
Three days after their arrest, Vybz Kartel was slapped with charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm, following extensive search of several homes he either owned or frequent.
The charges are in relation to the death of 27-year-old Barrington Burton o/c ‘Bossie’, a businessman/promoter of a Gregory Park address in St Catherine.
According to reports, Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park three months ago.
