Dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel and breakthrough artist I-Octane walk away with the top awards at the Excellence in Music and Entertainment Awards EME 2011 in Jamaica.
Vybz Kartel walk away victorious with four awards for Male Deejay of the Year, Dancehall Song of the Year for Clarks, Album of the Year for Pon di Gaza 2.0 and Collaboration of the Year for Clarks featuring Popcaan.
Breakthrough sensation I-Octane walk away with three awards namely Reggae Song of the Year for his hit single My Life, Breakthrough Artiste of the Year and Male Singjay of the Year.
There were several winners and looser at the awards, as well as, some good performances from an A list of reggae and international artists. Wayne Wonder showed off his vocal skills when he performed, but not without bashing several top artists who were not in attendance to accept their awards.
Shaggy and Beenie Man was named Artiste of the Decade 2001-2010
Rappers Eve and Trina who was also in attendance received the International Friend of Reggae Awards.
