Dancehall star Mavado recently returned to Jamaica after a lengthy tour in the United States.
However, all is not “cook and curry” for the “Suicidal” deejay who is reportedly getting some death threats.
NEW MUSIC: Mavado Ft. Buccaneer – Bad Man
Rumors surfaced online a few days ago claiming that there is a hit out for the Gullyside deejay. Mavado’s manager Julian Jones-Griffiths has since weighed in on the issue.
“On the record he doesn’t really want to say much on the subject, apart from he’s heard of it, and he’s still alive and never scared and trusts in Jah,” Jones-Griffiths told the Star.
Mavado has reportedly beefed up security around him and is travelling with a larger entourage at public events.
This new development comes just a year after Mavado revealed that the death of his friend Conroy Edwards at a Bounty Killer party at a nightclub in Kingston was actually meant for him.
NEW MUSIC: Mavado – Invisible
In June of last year an alleged altercation between Mavado and his entourage and a few off duty police officers at the security check point of the club lead to the shooting death of Edwards. Mavado was only a few feet away from the shooting.
Vado and his mentor Bounty Killer split since the incident.

maybe this will stop him from a$$aulting innocent people like he did to the man and his son!
