Dubbed the greatest Reggae show on Earth, Reggae Sumfest have confirmed yet another big name in music for the 2010 installment of the music festival. R&B heavy weight Usher has been confirmed to grace the stage at international night.
“We have been wanting to get him for a long time, and this year the timing was right” said Robert Russell, promoter of Reggae Sumfest.
Usher’s confirmation which had been kept secret up until Friday night. Sumfest Production held the launch for this year Reggae Sumfest at the Sportsmax Zone in New Kingston, Jamaica.
Singer, Songwriter, producer, dancer and actor Usher Raymond, is one of music top selling artists, with over 45 million albums sold worldwide. Usher now owns his own Record Label US Records and is responsible for careers such as teen sensation Justin Bieber. Usher will perform at Sumfest along with fellow R&B star Chris Brown and a host a local Reggae artists.
Sumfest kicks off on July 18th with a beach party and climax on July 24th with the second of two International Night. Usher will performed on Saturday July 24th at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay.
