Offset hasn’t paid up on some pricey jewelry items, but he has dropped bread on sneakers instead.
Migos band member Offset is reportedly being sued for skipping out on paying a Georgia jeweler for $400,000 worth of expensive pieces. Guven’s Fine Jewelry in Buford, GA claims that Offset has refused to pay for an18 karat gold tennis bracelet worth $140,000 and another platinum tennis bracelet with emerald cut diamonds valued at almost $40,000 that they sent the rapper, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
The lawsuit alleged that Guven’s has been trying to collect the payment since June, but Offset has been ducking their requests. The jeweler now not only wants the pieces returned, but they’re asking for additional compensation for their troubles of trying to track him down.
The “Father of 4” rapper doesn’t seem too concerned with the bill, however, as he was recently featured on Complex Magazine’s “Sneaker Shopping” segment. Offset, who is married to superstar rapper Cardi B, casually dropped over $31,000 on 27 pairs of sneakers and mentioned that he had spent nearly $100K on tennis shoes in the last few months. Those added to his million-dollar collection worth of shoes.
Offset was also spotted at New York Fashion Week iced out around his neck and wrist, and some of those items could be the Guven pieces in question. It’s clear that he has the dough to pay off the debt, and maybe the lawsuit will finally push him to do so.
