Roddy Ricch confirmed that he and Drake have been working together.
Roddy Rich sat down with Real 92.3 LA at Real Street Fest to talk new music and revealed the title of his forthcoming album. The west coast rapper was asked about a tweet he sent out last month that references a conversation that took place between him and Drake.
“That’s one of the guys. He reached out and we just been f**king with each other on text and talking on some real n*gga time,” Roddy said. When asked was there any music made between the two MCs, yet he responded: “You know, it’s there.”
The 20-year-old Compton native even hinted that he may have worked with Aubrey on multiple songs and that the two plan to “keep working.”
Later on, in the interview posted to 92.3’s Instagram Monday, Roddy said he is currently working on his next album and announced the project’s title – Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial.
“We been working on the album for a little minute and just getting the sound together. I just be wanting my fans to feel like I’m bringing them something that nobody’s bringing them,” he said. “Just like watching the waves and how everybody drops so fast, I just be trying to be on some, you know, just perfecting my craft and making sure the music is all the way there.”
The rapper said the title for his next album was inspired by the fact that people may feel he is distant or guarded. Roddy didn’t give any details on when we can expect Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, but said it would be coming soon.
In July, Roddy got hip-hop fans hype after telling Twitter that he had just talked to Drake, and it was “lit.” It will be interesting to see how many appearances Drizzy makes on Roddy’s next project.
