Nas drops off his new album, The Lost Tapes 2.
The project is the follow-up to the original, The Lost Tapes, which was released in 2002 and instantly became a cult classic in hip hop. Nas has already proven himself to be a hip hop icon, and there aren’t many of those still living. So when he dropped a new project, everybody lends him their ears and judging from the feedback so far, this project lives up to the expectation. Nasir is one of those artistes how has never released a bad project; his albums are always solid.
Billboard likens The Lost Tapes 2 to another one of his classics, Life Is Good. Nas recently revealed that he is already working on The Lost Tapes 3 and 4, but has not given an estimated time when those projects will arrive.
Aside from dropping new music, Nas is getting ready to hit the road with Mary J. Blige for their joint “Royalty Tour” this summer. You can expect him to perform some singles from this new album.
