Joyner Lucas shares a direct message he received from Tomi Lahren after dropping off his controversial video “Devil’s Work.”
Lucas released the video last weekend where he received strong support from the hip hop community. In the track, the rapper pleads with God to take controversial figures in the culture like R. Kelly, Suge Knight, Tomi Lahren, and Laura Ingraham, and send back legends like Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, and Nipsey Hussle. He including portraits of them alongside caskets at a funeral.
On Friday, Lahren tweeted that the video is “Truly disgusting.” “You don’t have to like me or respect me but this is too far. This isn’t “art” it’s sick,” she wrote.
Lahren did not stop there; she sent a direct message to Joyner Lucas asking him to sit down with her for a conversation. “Although I don’t appreciate you depicting and calling for my death in your latest music video, I would like to sit down and talk with you on or off camera. Maybe we can find some common ground,” the conservative media personality wrote.
Joyner Lucas responded saying, “I wonder how this conversations gonna go @tomilahren.”
Tomi Lahren is notorious for stirring controversy surrounding politics and race. Earlier this year she received some backlash on social media for calling for the deportation of rapper 21 Savage after he was arrested by ICE. She also previously got into feuds with Cardi B, Wale, and The Game over controversial statements she made.
