R&B singer Mya is all set to grace the stage of Reggae Sumfest this week, performing alongside dancehall diva Spice and reggae crooner Wayne Wonder.
Mya will first make her appearance on Sumfest most popular night “Dancehall Night” on Thursday July 21st performing with Spice, before returning on Saturday July 23rd for a performance with Wayne Wonder.
The Grammy-winning singer recently remix Wayne Wonder’s mega hit single “If I Ever.” Wonder’s management release a statement confirming their invitation to Mya to perform the single live at the greatest reggae show on earth.
“Undoubtedly the single has performed commendably, but we are always looking to take things up a few notches and reach a wider audience … and this is what we are confidently hoping to achieve with the collaboration with Mya,” Wayne Wonder said. “Mya is a wonderful talent, a great person and she gives the single added flavor. I am really looking forward to working the Sumfest stage with her.”
Nicki Minaj and R Kelly are also two other international stars enlisted for Reggae Sumfest.
