Rock ‘n’ Roll Legend Chuck Berry Dead At 90

Rock ‘n’ Roll legend Chuck Berry has died. The St. Louis music icon passed away on Saturday (March 18, 2017) of natural causes.

Police responded to a 911 call at moments after midday where they found Berry unresponsive, TMZ reported. CPR was performed on the singer but medics were unable to revived him. He was pronounced dead at 1:26 PM. Additional reports suggest that Berry died of natural causes and his personal doctor will sign off on his death certificate which means no autopsy will be performed.

Chuck Berry is widely regarded as the inventor of rock ‘n’ roll music and is known for several classic songs like “Maybellene,” “Roll Over Beethoven,” and “Johnny B. Goode.” During the 1950s and 60 he recorded and released several singles which went on to become huge hits. His music would then influenced other big names in music including Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and Beatles.

Chuck Berry was age 90 at the time of his death.
