Snoop Dogg issued a response to rapper Dave Blunts calling him during a performance at Juice WRLD‘s tribute concert.
The show dubbed Juice WRLD Day 2024 was held at Chicago’s United Center this past weekend. The 500lb rapper stunned the audience when he performed at the tribute concert with an oxygen tank. That was not the only surprise that the rapper had in store. Folks were equally surprised when he hurled a few insults at West Coast rap legend Snoop Dogg.
“Aye, Chicago, do y’all have a problem with me sitting down on this stage?” Blunts asked the sold-out crowd. “Exactly! So get the f— off my d–k, Snoop Dogg.”
Dave Blunts performed seated with his oxygen tank supporting his breathing. He continues, “I see the big dog talking. Snoop, you think you funny? You don’t know what it’s like to fight for your life every damn day.”
Snoop Dogg reshared the clip of Dave Blunts calling him out on Instagram, but it was all in good fun for the Los Angeles rapper. “That was funny,” Snoop said while laughing. “Go ahead, lil homie — I mean big homie. Do yo thang, cuz, I ain’t f—ing with you. Have your fun. I apologized to this n—a and he’s still going off on me, cuz. I must be getting old.”
In case you were in the dark about what could’ve triggered Blunts to call out one of the most beloved living legends in rap, here is the back story. Last month, Snoop reacted to Blunts’ performance of his single “My Cup” while sitting in a chair, telling him to put the cup down. “Well put down the chicken wings and tata chips Nefew and that chair gone break soon get to the end of cup [crying face emojis],” Snoop said. The Long Beach rapper later apologized after some fans accused him of fat-shaming Blunts.
Snoop Dogg is currently working on his new album, Missionary, due on December 13. The album will be the first Snoop Dogg project that Dr. Dre will executive produce since his 1993 debut album, Doggystyle. The rapper already released the single “Another Part of Me,” a song that samples The Police’s 1979 hit “Message in a Bottle.” Sting also recorded new vocals for the classic single.
Missionary will feature guest appearances from Method Man, 50 Cent, and Eminem.
