Khalid is speaking out on troubling accusations levied against him by his ex-boyfriend, the man who outed him last month.

The R&B singer came out last month after Hugo Almonte outed him in a scathing comment on X with accusations of abuse and alleged drug use. Almonte, an aspiring singer, also claimed that he was a hired escort for the singer. Nevertheless, Khalid has been getting huge support from his fans, some of whom accused Almonte of being malicious in forcing the singer to make his private life public.

Khalid has since shared a video on social media addressing the allegations of abuse, saying he had not spoken to his accuser in four years.

“I just wanted to come on here and address some things so we can just leave this all in the past,” the singer said. “I feel like it’s important that I speak my side of the situation. I’m gonna speak about the pink cocaine thing. I’ve never done cocaine a day in my life. I don’t place myself in those scenarios. I smoke weed and I drink a little bit, but I’ve never done cocaine a day in my life, for real.”

“I’ve never paid for sex a day in my life, ever,” he continues. “I’ve never paid anybody to date me, I’ve never paid anybody to be in a relationship with me. Ever. That dude and I dated four to five years ago, y’all. The last time that I talked to this guy was four years ago. Mental health is real.”

Khalid says the accusations of abuse are actually the other way around and makes it clear that he has never publicly accused anyone of breaking into his house. The “Location” singer admitted that it has been quite frustrating for him since the allegation, even though most of his fans support him.

“I’ve never accused anybody publicly of breaking into my house,” he said. “The only people who even know about a break-in are my close circle. Nobody knew because I don’t want everybody in my business. The only reason I’m clearing up any of this is because it’s just a little triggering seeing the few comments of people painting me as some manipulative abuser. It’s just crazy to me.”

“All of this is definitely frustrating,” he added. The singer admitted that he didn’t want this to be public knowledge as he has always been very private. The singer concluded, saying, “I don’t like this. This is very bothering.”

In the meantime, Hugo Almonte has since deleted his posts on X and issued a lengthy apology to the singer and his fans for putting his business out in the public.
