The rapper revealed her cancer diagnosis on Friday (November 8) in a message responding to fans’ concern over her recent weight loss. Bhad Bhabie, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, welcomed her first child eight months ago and has been in the headlines for domestic incidents with her baby daddy, Le Vaughn. She is back in the spotlight today for a different reason: her health.
Fans have been commenting on her apparent weight loss over the past several weeks after she posted new photos of herself on Instagram. However, the chatter grew louder after additional new photos of her went viral on Thursday (November 7). The speculation about her weight was significant enough to prompt a response from Bhad Bhabie, who explained that her weight loss was a result of her cancer medications.
“I’m sorry my cancer medication made me lose weight,” the 21-year-old wrote in a post on her Instagram Story. “I’m slowly gaining it back, so stop running with the worst narratives [heart emojis].”
This marks the first time Bhad Bhabie has revealed to the public that she has been battling cancer. She has received an outpouring of support since sharing the news, with fans taking to her comments to wish her a speedy recovery, while some deleted their previous comments about her weight.
“She just revealed that she is on cancer medication,” one fan wrote. “People need to have more empathy instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming.
