D.L. Hughley shows Diddy no sympathy while mentioning Nick Cannon in his roasting of the rap mogul.
Diddy’s fall from grace has a lot of celebrities on edge wondering if they will get caught up in his legal troubles. On the other hand, some celebrities like D.L. Hughley is condemning the the Bad Boy Records honcho amid serious allegations and federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. The comedian appeared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood where he shared his feelings on the Diddy allegations.
“Like, he went from a private jet to a bike,” Hughley said. “Hey, man, I haven’t trusted Puffy [Diddy] since he came up with peach Ciroc. Any n—a that come up with peaches and vodka. But remember the prosecutor with the evidence, and the AK-47 with the serial number scratched out?”
D.L. Hughley also touched on the allegations that the feds found 1000 bottles of baby oil at his home during their raid on three of his properties in March of this year. The comedy icon questioned the purpose behind having so much baby oils and invoked Nick Cannon into his roasting.
“Thousand bottles of baby oil? Nick Cannon got 900 kids, and he ain’t even got a thousand bottles of baby oil. Listen… Nobody has that!” Hughley said.
The feds reportedly have video tapes from some of Diddy’s parties that are being called “freak-offs” and other celebrities are reportedly at some of the parties, but there are no details about what exactly went down at the alleged events organized by the hip-hop mogul. The parties reportedly dated back to the 1990s.
Nick Cannon recently admitted that he attended Diddy’s parties while he was a minor at around age sixteen. While speaking with Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club, Cannon says he is not afraid of telling his truth, unlike other celebrities he didn’t name.
“I’ve even been there when I was a kid. Like, 16, 17,” Cannon said. “I live my truth. I remember standing outside, you know, trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York.”
The actor says it was innocent fun for him when he attended the Diddy parties of that era while making it clear that he doesn’t drink or do drugs. “Bad Boy parties was official in New York in the late ’90s,” he continues. “So, I mean, hey, whatever. Y’all talk to me. This is the thing. Everybody gets scared to talk because they probably got something to hide. I ain’t got nothing to hide. I was in there, Harlem shaking, doing all of that stuff.”
Cannon concluded by saying not all Diddy parties should be classified as “freak-off” because the ones he went to were nothing like that. “I’ve never been drunk in my life,” he said.
In the meantime, Diddy is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, MDC, in Brooklyn without bond. His trial date is set for May 2025.
