Dame Dash has stepped forward to share his feelings about Jay-Z being allegedly linked to Diddy misdeeds, saying if the stories are true it would be “another big blow for Hip-Hop.”
So far there is no proof presented that ties Jay-Z to any of the things Diddy has been accused of doing. However, the two hip-hop moguls have been friends for years which could be the reason why some folks in the hip-hop community and some fans are alleging that Hov is the next target for federal investigations.
Dame Dash says he doesn’t think that Jay-Z did the things that Diddy has been accused of doing and doesn’t wish bad for his former business partner despite their current feud over their past business dealings. Dash says Hov continues to mess with his money but he still doesn’t wish bad for him.
“Watching what’s going on with Puff, it doesn’t feel good,” Dash said in a clip from his America Nu Network. “I don’t want to see someone die or be tortured. I’m not going to celebrate the pain of anybody, any human being, even if they deserve it. The things that they’re saying, they’re terrible. It’s hard for me to even think that any of those things can be true. I don’t want them to be true. They’re saying they’re going to pick him up next year. I don’t want to see that man go to jail.”
Dash also referenced Diddy alleged freak off parties saying, “As much as he’s been fucking with my money, I wanna hope that that’s the worst that he’s been doing. I would never want to hear that Jay was in a freak off party.”
“It would be such another big blow for Hip-Hop, regardless of what, perception-wise, Jay is also a pillar of Hip-Hop, and if anything bad happens to him, then it’s really going to look crazy for Hip-Hop,” the Roc-A-Fella co-founder added.
Dame Dash recently distanced himself from Diddy after a photo resurfaced of him with Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Diddy, and Jennifer Lopez in a bed. He said he went to one of the embattled hip hop mogul’s parties about two decades ago in the Hampton’s and that’s about it. He assured fans that nothing happened at that party because everybody was attending those parties at the time.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn without bond. He is facing serious charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and kidnapping, which could see him spend decades in prison if convicted. Aside from his federal case, the Bad Boy Records founder is facing numerous lawsuits from women claiming he sexually abused them in the past including former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richards.
As for Dame Dash and Jay-Z, their falling out continues to play out in the courts, as well as the public sphere. The two are currently embroiled in a legal dispute over Dash’s shares in Roc-A-Fella, the company they co-founded in 1994 with Kareem “Biggs” Burke.
