Cardi B continuously shows up to court appearances in dramatic fashion, literally.
Cardi B is still fighting a court case in which she’s accused of plotting a violent attack against two women, one of which allegedly had an affair with her husband Offset. But the focus since the charges were filed in 2018 has been more on the Bronx superstar’s courtroom attire than the actual details of the hearing. On Tuesday, Cardi stunned paparazzi and onlookers once more when she arrived at an NYC courthouse wearing a huge feathered hooded jacket with a train that dragged behind her for what looked like a mile.
The “Press” rapper is facing assault charges, and according to Page Six, has a while to go before the case is resolved. Today as Cardi stood before a judge in a white and black button-up shirt — after her entourage carried her feathery train through the halls of the courthouse — her lawyers told prosecutors they needed copies of relevant Instagram postings made by Cardi’s accusers. The bartending sisters said that Cardi threw a hookah and two bottles of champagne across a Queens strip club towards them last year before allegedly hiring someone to have them beat up.
Prosecutors refused to help look for the IG postings in question, and the judge said that he had already subpoenaed Facebook to obtain them but was later denied. Cardi B left the hearing without commenting. A judge said they would continue to discuss the matter at a later court date that has yet to be determined.
In the meantime, Cardi B’s courtroom fit went viral once again. Another day, another slay.
