Nick Cannon reckons that Eminem should reserve himself a spot in a retirement home.
Once again, the real Slim Shady has gotten into trouble thanks to his music. The rapper has been shy to call out famous names amongst his lyrics, with Christina Aguilera, Fred Durst, Carson Daly, Limp Bizkit, Moby, and Michael Jackson all experiencing the wrath of Marshall Mathers’ pen. His most famous target, however, is undoubtedly Mariah Carey.
In what might be seen as a love story gone very wrong, and a broken heart that never quite healed (or maybe just a delusional lover with a vivid imagination…), Eminem claims that he and Mimi were an item once upon a time. She, however, denies it. The “Lucky You” rapper released two songs in 2009, referencing the alleged love affair — “Bagpipes from Baghdad” and “The Warning” — while Mariah shot back with one of her own, “Obsessed”.
In a new song with Fat Joe called “Lord Above”, Slim once again scratches at the decade-old scab by referencing the “Always Be My Baby” singer and her ex-husband Nick Cannon by, rapping, “Word to the Terror Squad, Joe, this is all puns aside though / I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note / But that other dude’s whipped, that pu**y got him neutered / Tried to tell him this chick’s a nut job before he got his jewels clipped / Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon’ do sh*t / I let her chop my balls off, too ‘fore I lost to you, Nick.”
The former host of America’s Got Talent is taking the jabs all in his stride — especially as he thinks his opponent is too old to pull any proper punches.
Eminem may only be 47, but Cannon reckons he is double that.
“They should change his name from Eminem to, like, Percocet-Em,” he joked. “We gon’ call him Cialis. Bring your walker, get out your wheelchair, pop some of whatever you pop. Should I respond to this? It’s not worthy of a response! I gotta get in my time machine, go put my gigolo jersey on.”
Just wait till Mariah gets in on it.
