Drake gave us another sneak peek inside his multi-million dollar custom Toronto palace while also paying homage to JAY-Z, who just turns 50.
Drake was among several celebrities that took the time to wish Hip-Hop’s first billionaire Jay-Z Happy 50th Birthday on Wednesday. While Drizzy and Hov have had tension in the past and have even exchanged jabs on songs, the Canadian superstar paid homage to JAY-Z’s legacy, while at the same time, giving fans a look inside his luxurious Toronto mansion that he’s having built from the ground up.
In October, Drake showed us his singing toilets and extravagant living room with a full-service bar. And how could we forget his full-size indoor basketball court adorned with the OVO owl in the middle? If fans weren’t already impressed, Aubrey showed us Wednesday that we haven’t seen anything yet. Drake recorded himself walking around another living room and dining room area on his Instagram stories while blasting classic Jay-Z records.
The clip starts with his huge fireplace that sits in front of a fancy dark grey couch with navy blue couch pillows, all atop what looks to be a marble floor. Then Drake shows us what looks to be a kitchen area with a massive island in the middle. It’s hard to tell if the “Controlla” MC is moving to a different part of the house, and you can see yet another fireplace and living room area with huge crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. In the corner sits a grand piano.
“Hov in the house all day. Unprecedented,” Drake wrote as he sang along to “I know.” He takes a quick glimpse of himself on the mirrored walls where you can see shelves of diamond-studded decorative items.
Some reports say he bought the place for $6.7 million on nearly 40,000 square feet of land where he’s been renovating it over the last several years. Architectural designer Ferris Rafauli has been in charge of building the home, and he’s also been posting updates of his own. How crazy would an episode of MTV Cribs be for Champagnepapi?
