The love of Cam’ron’s life has sadly passed away, and the Dipset rapper has now broken his silence.
It was revealed on Facebook last week that Tawasa Harris has passed away. Her friend, Latanya Marie, broke the news, sharing pictures and a sweet tribute on the social network. At the time, it was reported that Harris had been in a relationship with the “Oh Boy” rapper and was even the mother of his child. Cam’ron has now, himself, taken to social media to honor his late girlfriend while clarifying that she was not, in fact, his son’s momma.
“This is not my son’s mother (my son’s mother is fine) this is someone I went out with years ago, and we got back together a year and a half ago,” he wrote alongside a throwback snap of the pair.
Despite not giving birth to his offspring, Cam’ron and Harris obviously had a very deep and beautiful partnership, as the artist recalled their closeness.
“She was the person I spent 3-4 nights a week with, the person I spoke to on the phone with 7-8 times a day, the person I fell asleep on the phone with, the person I spent all summer with, the person that I was planning thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and our birthdays with, the person who put me on to hi-end fashion, my biggest supporter, the person that wouldn’t let u talk about me while she was around, I could go on and on.. but.. this was really the love of my life!!” Cam wrote on IG.
Harris left behind three children, to whom the 43-year-old also expressed his condolences. We’re sending Cam’ron and the Harris family lots of love and strength.
