Justin Bieber may be transitioning from pop to R&B.
Justin Bieber has always been adjacent to the culture given that he was discovered by R&B legend Usher. Throughout his career, Bieber has collaborated with hip-hop artists like Chance The Rapper, Ludacris, Sean Kingston, Big Sean, and even Drake. While the singer generally thrives as a pop artist, his smooth vocals have always had remnants of soul and R&B, and now Justin Bieber is reportedly tackling the genre full-on with brand new “R&Bieber” album.
According to the Rumor Mill on HITS Daily Double, Justin Bieber, who is signed to Def Jam, is releasing an R&B album before the year is up. The project will as always feature high-profile collaborations and even a “possible reunion with Drake.” Two weeks ago, the “Baby” singer teased the term R&Bieber on his social media accounts and promised to drop an album before Christmas if he got 20 million likes on his post.
“Share it, like it, post in your story, I gotta see the demand ;) love you guys pumped for it! I’m almost done but your support will make me move faster,” the 25-year-old wrote in a caption. As of Tuesday, the most was close to 12 million likes. Bieber married his wife Hailey Baldwin (Bieber) at the end of September and seemed to be in a really positive place. He’s been promoting nothing but love and mental health, so we are sure he has plenty of content to form some fire R&B tracks. He hasn’t released a solo studio album since Purpose in 2015.
Are you looking forward to an R&B album from Justin Bieber?
