21 Savage has finally released his long-awaited Mortal Kombat single “Immortal.”
The new track is getting rave reviews among hip hop fans and hardcore fans of the iconic Mortal Kombat video game. The single was first previewed a year ago when MK11 was released. Kid Hazel handled the production of the dark single with 21 Savage showing off his killer flow over a gritty beat. Saint Lauren Don also gave NBA star Russell Westbrook in the second verse. “My choppa in the band, it’s a drummer / Russell Westbrook, I was strikin’ like the Thunder, Woah, woah, / You was somewhere runnin’ ’round whinin’ to your momma / Y’all play conservative, we gon’ send a blick / I’m the type to catch a TEC foul, hit him in his sh*t,” the Atlanta rapper spits.
21 Savage only announced that he was dropping the new single a couple hours ago, and he wasn’t joking. The tone of the single falls perfectly in line with the dark and gory theme Mortal Kombat is known for. “Immortal” also makes as a fitting soundtrack for your Halloween party tonight. Savage was forced to address some controversies this week after an audio leaked of him calling dancehall princess Shenseea a “Jamaican h*e.”
