50 Cent shared a photo from his next big television gig.
50 Cent has built up quite the resume outside of music, becoming a successful actor and television producer. With his main series Power coming to an end on STARZ, 50 is already working on another TV show, For Life, this time with ABC. 50 has been beefing up for his new role in the show that is centered around an inmate in the early 90s who was wrongfully accused of being a New York City drug kingpin. The rapper-turned-actor shared a brief look at his new character on Instagram on Tuesday evening.
“F*ck you, y’all ain’t send me nothing. When I get out that’s ya a*s, ABC FOR LIFE Coming soon!,” Fif wrote under a photo of him in a prison suit on the telephone from inside the pin. The show produced by G-Unit Film & Television production company follows Isaac Wright Jr. who served as his own lawyer and was sentenced to life in prison. Wright later developed legal tactics and fought to have his conviction overturned. After his release from prison, Wright successfully became a lawyer.
50 has been promoting the new show all month, and a few weeks ago dropped a clip of him working out on set. The 44-year-old claimed he gained 15 pounds to buff up for the role. The last time we saw 50 on the small screen was in season five of Power when his character Kanan was killed off the show. We know the “Get Rich or Die Trying” rapper keeps a bag coming and has even spoken out about producing Power spin-off in the near future. So this new show is just another notch on his acting belt, with plenty more to come.
