Kehlani is leading a campaign to book Teyana Taylor her next acting gig.
Kehlani believes Teyana Taylor would be the perfect choice to play the next Catwoman in the Batman series. Movie director Matt Reeves is ready to reboot The Batman and has already booked Twilight’s Robert Pattinson for the lead role. Reports said Reeves is now on the lookout for a new Catwoman, and he wants to book a woman of color.
The role is a sexy, sleek, athletic character and who better than Teyana Taylor who already has a lucrative acting career. “Distraction” singer Kehlani agrees, and she retweeted a comic book news account which broke the news about the search. “Teyana PHUCKING Taylor,” she said Monday, and thousands of fans cosigned. The plea got nearly 24,000 retweets and 88,000 likes.

The tweet opened a conversation, and some fans felt Teyana would be a better fit for a role as Madam Slay. Others said Kehlani herself should play notorious supervillain Poison Ivy.
Teyana Taylor has starred in past films like Honey: Rise Up and Dance, The Afterparty on Netflix, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family and is reportedly filming for the upcoming reboot of Coming to America. She also had a recurring role in VH1’s series Hit The Floor. She has also launched a side career as a music video director.
