Beenie Man has clapped back at former Dancehall Queen Carlene Smith, the mother of his daughter Crystal Davis, who accused him of being a deadbeat dad.
His retaliation came a week after a video surfaced on social media in which Carlene, who was at their daughter Crystal’s graduation ceremony, implied that the entertainer had not supported the teen and that only friends and family members had supported Crystal’s educational journey and seen to her well-being.
But in a written jab at his ex, The Doctor posted: “Congratulations to My Son on his Graduation.” Beenie posted a photo in which he shares lens with his ex-wife D’Angel and their son Marco Dean, at the boy’s prep school graduation.
Four hours later he reposted a video which was initially uploaded by D’Angel and captioned it: “This is when the Parents put the Child first and not themselves. @dangelmusic Appreciate yuh every time.”
“See mi ex-wife here,” he said as he pulled her towards him for a small friendly hug in the video. “Mi haffi support him to the end; hi-five Marco,” D’Angel said to her son. The video post attracted scores of commendations from Beenie Man‘s fans, many of whom described the interaction between the two as an example of good parenting.
One fan however, chose to drag the artiste’s current girlfriend and babymother, Krystal Tomlinson into the mix.
“Krystal, pack your bags and go. Sorry you are not getting the respect you deserve. Don’t come on here liking this and think it’s s display of maturity. You are better than this,” he wrote.
Others decided to play Cupid, urging the two artiste’s to become lovers again. “Beenie Man, you and D’Angel look good together. Unuh match. I still hope you guys could remarry,” mashell wrote.
“Nice couple, rekindle the thing man,” Sonya added, while babylee strayed totally from the topic posting: “Carlene need fi lose some weight.”
Another commenter tongue-lashed the self-proclaimed Old Dawg. “You should’ve done the same for your daughter Crystal,” rebuked dorjun46.
