XXXTentacion’s manager announced that his documentary is coming soon.
Today, June 18, 2019, marks a year since XXXTenacion was killed in Deerfield Beach, Florida, in a robbery incident. His mother, Cleopatra Bernard, has been keeping his legacy alive through the release of new music and initiatives. Now we’re learning that a documentary chronicling the life of the late rapper is in the works. X’s manager, Solomon Sobande, confirmed the film via Instagram on Tuesday. “Documentary coming soon…#LLJ,” he wrote.
Sobande also shared a clip showing footage from scenes in the documentary. The short video comprised of clips from his live performances, him leaving jail, recording music, and meeting his fans. XXXTentacion narrates portions of the cut.
“There’s definitely a difference between Jahseh Onfroy and XXXTentacion,” the late rapper said. “If you’re already happy, I can’t do sh*t for you because you already know what you want.”
Earlier this month, X connect with Craig Xen on his new single “Run It Back!” The rapper provided a well-received guest verse for the metal-influenced single. In a recent interview with XXL Mag, Craig Xen tribute XXXTentacion who was a close friend he met on tour.
“We’re so grateful for everything you ever did for us,” Xen said. “You know, you didn’t owe us anything. And we appreciate you being a great friend and a brother to all of us and being a great leader as well. It doesn’t make any difference if it’s June 18 or April 3, you know we still miss you the same, man. But if you could see the impact that you had on the world, especially today, I haven’t been to your mausoleum without people being there, man. Everybody loves you. You’ve impacted so many people’s lives for the better. You’ve helped so many people, bro.”
